Dave ( or Davo ) is named after Craig Charles' character from Red Dwarf and after a friend of mine's brother. Dave has a real sense of propriety. He does not like to be watched when he's eating and does not like to be caught sleeping. In fact if caught, he makes great efforts to pretend that he was in fact awake. Dave loves fresh bananas but won't eat any other fresh fruit. He also really likes apple juice. He'll eat dried fruit of course, including banana chips, dried apples, dried apricots, etc.

Christine is named after Dave Lister's love from Red Dwarf, Christine Kochanski. We usually call her "Whitey". She's definitly the most curious of the four. She must investigate anything that's new. She also has a real penchant for heights. She will jump and/or climb to the highest spot wherever she happens to be. She's also an escape artist (so we'll often refer to her as "Papillon" as well). She prefers to sleep in hidden locations, but will sleep in the open sometimes. Christine will eat dried fruits and nuts but she doesn't like fresh fruit.
